Charlie Smith Circle is an exciting, eleven-piece jazz ensemble that is exploring new directions in jazz music. The group combines the best of young Seattle musicians with the unique and innovative arrangements of Charlie Smith to create a colorful harmonic landscape. Also, the inclusion of voice, guitar, and euphonium alongside traditional big band instruments adds to the warmth of the band's unusual sound.
Circle played its final concert in 2005. The music lives on through the critically acclaimed album, Ahead and Behind.
